    Ionization Process

    We all know the chemical formula of water is H2O. However, water with the same chemical formula may have different chemical and physical properties. For example, rainwater is different from sea/mineral/distilled water. One way to change the properties of water is by electrolysis. The water obtained after electrolysis is called ionized water. It acquires unique properties that correspond to the internal environment of the human body the most and can significantly improve the body's vital processes.

    The decomposition of dissolved mineral salts takes place in the process of electrolysis. Alkaline metal ions – calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium – are positively charged (H+), and non-metal ions – chlorine, sulphur, phosphorus, and others – are negatively charged (OH–). Ionized water is obtained by means of an electric current being passed through water in a process known as electrolysis. Two electrodes – a positive cathode (light electrode) and a negative anode (dark electrode) – are placed in the electrolysis chamber. Ions are attracted to their oppositely charged electrodes: hydrogen and non-metals to the cathode, hydroxyl and alkaline metals to the anode. As a result, the water molecule is split into positively charged hydrogen (H+) and negatively charged hydroxyl (OH–) ions. The former (H+) are included in the composition of acids, and the latter (OH–) – in that of alkalis.

    Both ionized alkaline and ionized acid water acquire and retain completely different properties for a period of time, different from regular tap water properties. This also leads to a completely different use of alkaline and acidic water.
